A873 Tail stock adapter, 1 inch X 8TPI

This unit does not rotate

Reverses a 1" x 8 TPI Chuck from the spindle to the tail stock with a #2 Morse Taper. The ideal way to centre projects on a vacuum head mounted on a spindle.

This is to be used for positioning only and is not made to be used under power.


Steps:

1 Take the chuck off the headstock with the workpiece still in it.

2 Mount the chuck/workpiece on the tailstock using this adapter.

3 Setup your vacuum chuck system on the headstock.

4 Move the workpiece connected to the tailstock up to the vacuum chuck (thus perfectly on the centre line).

5 Apply vacuum and transfer the workpiece from the chuck to vacuum chuck.
