Fingernail Bowl Gouges (Deep Flute) 3/8 inch or 10mm

Now available with fingernail grind. Increased flexibility allows for 'pull' cuts - avoiding catching lathe bed. Greater cutting tip area can be used, for heavy profiling cuts and fine, delicate shearing cuts. Easily maintained and sharpened using the Robert Sorby ProEdge sharpening system or Woodcut Trugrind

M2 High Speed Steel Triple tempered.

3/8 inch or 9.5mm between the tips of the flute (often called a 10mm Bowl Gouge)

Chisel shaft is 13mm diameter

Handle is 14 inches or 350mm long

Handle is made from American plantation Ash.

Overall Length is 23 inches or 585mm

A traditional radial grind (an English grind) of 45 degrees.
