Veritas 36 inch (914mm) Steel Straight Edge
Description
A straightedge is extremely useful for setting up machines such as planers and jointers. We offer two types from Veritas. Both are wide enough to stand on their edges unsupported; leaving you with both hands free to make precise adjustments to your tools. Each also has a hanging hole for easy storage. The Veritas anodized aluminum straightedge is 44mm high and 11mm wide. It will not rust.
The reference edge is machined flat to within 0.076mm over the entire length. It is 965mm long and weighs approximately 910g. Where extreme accuracy is needed; Veritas' solid steel bar has both edges precision ground flat to within 0.025mm over the entire length. It is 609mm long; 6.35mm thick and 38.1mm wide. At just over 910g; its weight ensures that it will stay in place while you make any adjustments. Vacuum heat-treated to ensure that all residual stresses are removed and the straightedge remains true on both reference edges.
