The FMT Pro brings professional quality mortise & tenon joinery to any shop and any woodworker. No other jig or method can match the ease; versatility and absolute precision of the FMT Pro. Mortise & tenon joints routed on the FMT Pro are immensely strong and virtually indestructible. This centuries-old joint is the thoroughbred of all woodworking joints and is used in fine furniture and cabinetmaking everywhere.

Pro FMT features: Over 70 sizes of mortises and tenons; Standard joint guides available in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" (5/16" included with jig); Maximum 1/2" x 2 1/2" joint size; Double; triple and quadruple joints; Easily recorded; repeatable joint fit adjustment; Angled and compound angled joints; Works with virtually any plunge router.

Standard Equipment:
Universal sub-base attaches to any plunge router (we were using a Hitachi TR12 router);
5/16inch (approx 8mm) HSS spiral upcut bit w/1/2" shank (Leigh No. 170-500)
Five 5/16" joint guides (5/16" by 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2") which can make over 20 sizes.
5/16" or 8mm is the most popular size for chair and small furniture joinery


Note - other template guides and cutters are available from ourselves or overseas suppliers for different size mortise and tenon joints. Change to metric by using metric templates and metric cutters (if you can find metric cutters. In NZ routers are imperial sizes).
