Description

New - the CrushGrind Groove Cutter is a new recess tool made by CrushGrind.

It is adjustable and can be used for the CrushGrind Shaft, CrushGrind Wood, CrushGrind Mini and the stopper fixtures. The tool enables the user to accurately cut the groove which is essential for fitting the grinder mechanism and the stopper fixture securely, without the need for glue. The sprung clips on the mechanism and stopper have to be located in the groove to stop them moving inside the outer housing.

Just select your grinder type, move the bar and tighten the wheel.

Measures 33 cm (13in) long, including a 22 cm (8.7in) handle.

Utilizes M43 steel which is a high-speed tool steel. It's a type of tungsten-molybdenum high-speed steel (HSS) known for its excellent wear resistance, toughness, and ability to retain hardness at high temperatures. It's commonly used in cutting tools, such as drills, taps, and end mills, where high heat and abrasion resistance are essential.

This video is of a different tool but you can see how the cutter is intended to be used - with a tool rest at or slightly above half way position the stop on the tool at the edge of the grinder and pivot the cutting edge on to the wood:
