Description

High torque clock movement - AA battery powered model designed specifically for use with today's new larger clocks.

They are the most powerful quartz movements on the market today and were designed to solve one of the primary assembly problems that confronts everyone making larger clocks - that is hour and minute hand spacing.

With an increased distance between the hour and minute hands it helps prevent the longer hands from binding and leaves enough room to accomodate the counterweights that are commonly used on large minute hands.

This movement has
* a 17.5mm or 11/16" threaded shaft
* a 28.6mm or 1 1/8" total shaft length
* an 8mm or 5/16" shaft diameter.

Can be used for dials up to 16mm (5/8") thick.

Note: this movement will run a second hand but it is not recommended as it diverts too much power away from the hour and minute hands.
