WEST SYSTEM 417 Fairing Filler 4L
Description
WEST SYSTEM 407/417 is a Low-Density, Phenolic Microballoon-based filler, that is easy to fair and sand.
When added to epoxy resin, 407/417 filler creates a thick, low density compound.
407/417 is reasonably strong on a strength-to-weight basis.
407/417 is used to makes highly adaptive fairing putties for a range of applications.
Typical uses include filleting, coving and fairing.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
To be mixed with WEST SYSTEM 105 Resin & either 205 Fast Hardener, 206 Slow Hardener or 207 Special Coating Hardener.
Recommended use:
Bonding with Fillets: Increase joint bonding area and create a structural brace between parts—smoothness/strength
Fairing: Fill low areas and voids with an easily sanded surface filler/fairing compound—sandability/gap filling
Laminating: Bond layers of wood strips, veneers, planks, sheets and cores—gap filling/strength
