Stellite Bandsaw Blade L=3685mm x W=32 + mm x T=1.1tpi
Description
Stellite tipped rip cut bandsaw blade - Stellite raker tip on every 3rd tooth (1, 4, 7, 10 etc.).
Stellite is a cobalt-based alloy which provides high levels of performance and productivity with little wear and tear.
Stellite is a wear resistant material composed of 60% cobalt, 29% chrome, 10% tungsten & 1% carbon and has a hardness of 47-51 HRC. This compares with a swage set hardness of 41-43 HRC and a tungsten carbide hardness of 67-82 HRC.
Stellite has a relatively high hardness factor but isn’t as brittle as tungsten carbide. It has traditionally been used for cutting timbers that rapidly wear down the cutting edges of swage set blades and so is ideally suited for cutting hard woods.
