ADR230 KlearKast Resin is a low viscosity clear casting epoxy resin used with ADH230 hardener.
KlearKast Resin is ideal for deep castings, resin "river tables" and other furniture projects.
It's low viscosity makes it good for intricate castings and multiple layers can be seamlessly poured.
Long working times and minimal heat generation make this an easy resin to work with.
KlearKast Resin is formulated for clear castings and is used in such applications as artists potting and encapsulation.
Contains slight blue tint to counteract yellowing with age and retain clear finish.
Note that this deep cast resin is not as hard and has less strength than West System resin. To prevent brittleness it is recommended that heat is applied after the resin has fully cured at 3 days. On a resin table this can be achieved with an electric blanket laid on top for 24 hours.
Once "post cured" the resin will be harder and scratch resistant and able to be polished to a high gloss finish.
Mixed with ADH230 at 100/30 weight ratio - West System pumps cannot be used as these are volume based.
This kit includes 10kg ADR230 Resin and 3kg ADH Hardener.
Dangerous Good Shipping Information
Whilst NZ Post would carry the Epoxy Resin (Class 9 DG) the Hardeners are Class 8 - corrosive, and can only be transported by a specialised courier company - ChemCouriers.
To manage these freight costs, we are working with our resin supplier to implement a drop shipment system direct from the supplier with their better freight rates, but we do recognise that the costs remain substantial and slight delays may occur.
